Our Story

A Local Tale,
Retold.

Our Grade II listed home began life as the historic Grapes Hotel, dating back to the late 18th and early 19th centuries. It welcomed travellers and locals alike, and even served as the village courtroom.

The name was inspired by local character Ermyntrude Frances “Miss Ermy” de Trafford, remembered for breeding rabbits at nearby Croston Hall. Her story became part of the village’s heritage, and the beginning of ours.
